UI visual designer at an international scale-up

Job description

Are you that UI visual designer that likes to work on the complete system, instead of just a small part? Are you looking for a challenge to work in a scale-up environment where your skills truly make a difference? Then you just might be the UI designer that we are looking for. Check below whether you also think we’re a match made in heaven.

First and foremost, we are not looking for just a normal UI designer. We are looking for this passionate designer that eats UI challenges for breakfast. Hell, you might even be so fanatic that you design during breakfast. You believe your skills can change the world. The personal journey towards that point is as important to you as the job itself. We think big and expect the same of you!

As UI designer at Sendsteps no day will be the same as you get to work on the full range of our products. Every other Monday you start your day with the sprint planning meeting together with our UX designer and Product Owner. While not overly fond of meetings you understand the importance of a good development process. Onwards to your stories, that tick off like clockwork. You work on improving the interaction between our PowerPoint add-in, our web app en MS Teams app by designing a couple of wireframes. Nice! Users will be able to find the settings much quicker. Your week is completed by designing a new question type. Users will love it! At the end of the sprint, during sprint review, the team demos what they made to the stakeholders. They are enthusiastic, you guys did well!

If this sounds like your ideal job, then Sendsteps is what you’re looking for. With our technology it is possible to get into the heads of your audience while presenting. That way you can truly interact with your audience. It’s Sendsteps’ mission to make every audience interaction, on- or offline, interactive. For 12 years we’ve been working round the clock to make this possible. At our office we have a relax scale-up vibe and on holidays we like to do some yoga exercises. We’re a bunch of young people on a path of great growth and we have a product, office and challenges to match.

Of course we have a clear view of our ideal candidate. This is on our wishlist (we like to be spoiled but do understand you not always get everything you want)

  • You create design principles and interaction guidelines that will be used throughout all projects
  • A professional background in UI design for at least 3 years would be nice!
  • Experience using Figma and the Adobe Creative suite like Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Experience with Figma animations, principles or another tool
  • You understand everyone likes visual feedback, so you create wireframes and prototypes where possible.
  • You liaise regularly with the stakeholders to ensure that designs meet their requirements and core business objectives
  • You work on cross-platform applications to develop user experiences covering mobile phones, tablets, and computers
  • Able to think out of the box when we need a creative solution
  • You understand that in some situations it’s business first and perfection second
  • You’re a great team player and communicate openly and transparently
  • You're available for at least 24 hours per week

To persuade you Sendsteps is the next step in your career we have another list:

  • You will be an important part of our scale-up
  • We have a nice and stylish office at an awesome spot in Amsterdam
  • Your colleagues are great, you can look at them as your friends
  • We’ll pay your lunch
  • Flexible working hours
  • A good payment is part of a good job.

If you read the whole text up until here and you’re still enthusiastic, then it must be the case that you’re the candidate we’re looking for. So please respond!
